Nuzlocke X-Chapter 17

Both the Hawlucha and Alex stood a far distance from each other. They waited for the other to make the first move. In fact they waited so long that a wild Tangela tumbled along in between them, as a the strum of a guitar in the distance was heard. The Hawlucha made the first move as he rushed towards Alex, slid between his legs, and jumped up to get Alex in a full nelson. As he was air-borne, the Hawlucha leaned backwards as both he and Alex fell down to the ground. Alex’s head was the first thing to hit the ground from the attack, as it hit the ground the Hawlucha let Alex out of the full nelson and locked his hands around Alex. Not even a moment to let out a cry of pain was allowed before Alex was spun around at a very quick speed, and then he started to sail through the air as the Hawlucha threw him into the air. Alex shut both of his eyes as he felt severely disoriented and that his head was going to split open. The Hawlucha jumped up towards Alex, and used his hands to grab onto Alex’s arms while he used his feet to grab onto Alex’s ankles.

Hawlucha: Goodbye!

The Hawlucha pulled his hands and feet closer which Alex to take on a “U” shape as they descended. Alex opened his eyes to see the ground get closer and smirked when an idea came to mind.

Alex: Not goodbye, but welcome!

Alex jerked out of the hold he was in, which caught the Hawlucha by surprise. Then, he quickly grabbed the Hawlucha’s legs and placed his knee in between them. A gleam shined in both of Alex’s eyes as they were about to crash into the ground.

Alex: Fatherly technique: Discipline of the Son!

They finally crashed into the ground in the most inhumane position. Not only was the Hawlucha’s head buried in the ground, but Alex’s knee was firmly planted in between the Hawlucha’s legs which transferred all of Alex’s force from the fall to be grounded into the Hawlucha. Alex smiled as he got up and dusted himself up. After he got up, he tossed a dusk ball at the Hawlucha.

Alex: Welcome to the family Macho.

GOT Macho!
Gender: Male (Although may not be able to have kids now. Ouch)
Species: Hawlucha
Met at Lv. 20 on Route 10 (Grass)
Ability: Limber
Nature: Calm
Alert to sounds

Alex: I wonder what King is up to. Better check on him.


**Back with King**

King: RAH!

Both of their fists clashed together again as they skidded away from each other a little. Both King and the armor were out of breath, and the armor’s head still didn’t come out yet. King charged at the armor one more time, but didn’t raise his fist like the last times, instead he licked the armor’s arm to try and get it to submit.

Armor: AHH!

POP!

Finally, the head of the armor finally popped out and it looked around.

???: I can see now! Thank you so much! I’m Al the Golett by the way.

A moment didn’t pass as a dusk ball quickly hit Al in the back of the head. It shook three times as it dissipated away into pixels. King stood in confusion until he saw Alex with a smile on his face.

Alex: Way to go King! You did great, now come on. There is a new town ahead, which means new stuff.

The two walked into the town and saw large stones nearly everywhere that you looked. There were three unusually large protrusions that extended from the ground, and little wooden shacks that surrounded it. Alex was going to walk towards the Pokémon Center of the town, when he saw one of those Team Flare members. With high curiosity, Alex followed the member to a path that led to a dead end. Even though Alex thought that he was being sneaky, the Team Flare turned around to face Alex with a pissed off look on his face.

Grunt: Geeze kid, can you at least try to act sneaky! I heard you from a mile away! Don’t mess up Team Flare’s plan!

He continued to walk down the path, but Alex went back to the Pokémon Center. As he gave Nurse Joy his pokémon to heal them, he sat down and wondered what was going to train everyone now. An idea came to his head, but it was already very late. So he grabbed the pokéballs, and went to the room that he rented to sleep for the night.

**The Next Day**

Sycamore: Hey Alex, who do you need?

Alex: Everyone.


And so, Alex trained all of his pokémon while he taught them all new moves to use in battle. They all leveled up, and their bonds with Alex as their father grew. Also, he went back to the daycare to pick up Suzy and Honey, and dropped off Lavida and Lisa. I’m just putting this here to shorten the chapter, and to not be long and repetitive. Although one interesting thing happened during training.

Alex: Very good Al. You’re getting good at throwing punches.

Kid: HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!

Alex turned to Kid to see what was wrong, but his jaw hit the ground at what was in front of him. Kid was being carried off by a bunch of Emolgas as he struggled to get out of their grip.

Kid: Let me go, you bunch of squirrels!

All of the Emolgas: One of us. One of us. One of us.

However, they did not get far as Volvagia whipped all of them with her tail and rescued Kid.

Kid: Thanks sis.

Before Volvagia could say something to Kid, three bright lights shined out of the patches of grass. Everyone stopped and looked at the lights awe struck.

Alex: That’s where Bruce, Lucy, and Mary were. Does that mean that they…?

As if on cue a Pidgeotto, a Fletchinder, and a Golbat all jumped out of the grass. They all flew towards Alex who had tears of joy well up in his eyes, as he hugged them all as best as he could.

Alex: All of you make your father so proud. Every single one of you.


Mary evolved into a Pidgeotto. Bruce evolved into a Golbat, and Lucy evolved into a Fletchinder

So with the new evolutions, Alex made a quick change to the party as he proceeded to walk out of the town. Two pokémon saw this and were anxious about something that, well one had the face of a school girl that saw her crush while the other had a fire in his eyes.

Lucario 1: It’s Alex senpai! I want to spar against him like last time!

Lucario 2: No we can’t otherwise Master would get mad. Like last time.

Lucario 1: Baka! You don’t understand the relationship between me and Alex senpai!

The first Lucario jumped up with a crazed look on his face, before he could rush Alex like he did last time he stopped in his tracks. This got the curiosity of the other Lucario, but before he could walk up to his friend, he felt a large pain in his back as a sharp gust of wind hit slashed across it.

Mary: Now what were you two about to do to our father?

The Lucario couldn’t answer as he was stricken with so much pain, while the shadow under the first Lucario widened and punched him several times before he was sent in the air. He landed on top of his friend as Trisha came out of the shadow that held him.

Trisha: Goo!

Alex turned around to see the Lucarios on the ground. He was going to question until that blonde rollerblader from a few routes ago showed up with a pissed off look on her face.

Korrina: I am so sorry. I’ll just be taking these two and leaving.

She hurriedly returned the two Lucarios and skated off in a frenzy. Alex only shrugged as he stepped into the next route, he sent them all out as he had enough trust in them to train by themselves. He stopped immediately as he saw a very large gray pokémon with long blue hair in a nearby patch of grass. Since he didn’t know what it was capable of, he threw an ultra-ball that he found when he combed the beach for items with Jojo. The ball shook three times as it clicked.

Alex: Welcome to the family, Bertha!

Met at Lv. 23 on Route 11
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Quirky
Mischievous

The ball bursted into pixels as Alex sneaked past the trainers of the route and made it inside the cave that was there. He pulled up his Pokedex to see where he was only to find this place was called the Reflection Cave. He walked deeper into the cave and saw no one inside. He began to walk as he felt a something small walk into his leg. He looked down and saw a little rock pokémon that hopped up and down with what Alex can only assume as joy when it realized it was spotted. Alex scooped up the little rock, but as he did weird stuff began to happen in the cave. Hands of all kinds slowly started to come out of the mirror, and soon people walked out of the mirror. All of them devoid of expressions and emotions. Alex tapped the little pokémon in his hand with a great ball. It clicked immediately as Alex ran out of the cave and back to the pokémon center. All of his pokémon saw this, and ran after him.

Met at Lv. 21 in the Reflection Cave

Mary: Father, what happened? You went inside that cave, missed Rida evolving, and now you’re out of breath. What happened in there?

Alex was out of breath as he dialed up Sycamore and the ball in his hand turned to pixels. He turned to see that Rida did indeed evolve, she had her arms crossed and a pout on her face.

Alex: Sorry Rida. I saw things that freaked me out. To make it up, why don’t you take a breather? So let’s see here.

He made changes that put Ragnorok, Macho, Bertha, and Volvagia back on the team. He did however put Trisha, Lucy, King, and Al back into the PC. After that was done, Alex made his way back to the Reflecting Cave, he had Ragnorok in the front of the party. A Sawk jumped out in front of the party and demanded a challenge. Alex refused as he picked up Ragnorok, who didn’t know what was going on. The Sawk grumbled in frustration as he smacked Ragnorok out of Alex’s hands. The little stone pokémon let out a tiny cry of pain as he fell hard on ground. He shakily got up as Alex went to return it….but his reflexes weren’t fast enough.

Sawk: Weakling!

The Sawk delivered a low sweep to Ragnorok, which sent the young pokémon through the air and against a rock.

CRACK!

Alex stood motionless as this happened, no amount of words could describe what he felt at the moment. The Sawk was oblivious of Alex, and delivered the final blow to Ragnorok as he raised his foot over Ragnorok.

SMASH!

Like that, Ragnorok was crushed underneath the Sawk’s foot. The Sawk had a cocky smirk on his face, but it turned to a look of fear as he looked up at Alex who practically seethed with rage.

Alex: You just killed my son…do you realize what you have done?!

Before the Sawk could answer, Alex walked up to the Sawk who cowered. Soon, Alex’s hand was around the Sawk’s neck with an extremely tight grip!

Sawk: Y-you’re a monster!

Alex: Yeah, and you just killed one of this monster’s children!

Sawk: P-p-please! It won't happen again! I won't fight again, I'll never kill again! I won't make that mistake, just let me live!

Alex: Good, because I'm not going to make a mistake either you bastard!

Alex grip tightened so much that the Sawk couldn’t fight back anymore and lost consciousness. Alex made sure that he was still alive as he hastily threw the Sawk to the side while everyone else looked at the crushed bits of Ragnorok. They all stood with mortified and shocked looks on their faces. Alex turned and walked over to the remains of Ragnorok as tears streamed down his face. He clenched his fists as well as his teeth with sorrow and rage. Not even a minute on the team, and Ragnorok was gone. To make matters worse this was first death Alex experienced. He rolled up the sleeves of his hoodie and got down on his knees as he got to work on the grave for his first dead pokémon. It only took a few minutes before Ragnorok was completely buried in his grave. Alex put some flowers on the grave as he looked at the soil at his knees. Tears hit the soil as Alex couldn't hold them back.

Alex: I’m sorry, Ragnorok…I didn’t even get the chance to be a father to you.

RIP Ragnorok

You didn’t even make an impression, but you will be missed.

Alex: Kids, wait here while I go get someone from the center.

They said nothing as Alex walked off. Shortly after he returned with Al who gingerly held Alex’s hand.

Alex: Alright, so the team now is: Mary, Al, Macho, Bertha, Rida, and Volvagia. We will go onto the cave, but always remember those who have passed on. Got it?

Party: Yes dad.
Alex nodded as they all understood and traversed inside the cave. They trained and spent what seemed like several hours in the Reflection Cave. All seemed normal unlike the last time Alex went inside.

???: Have you seen my fiancé?

Alex: Why no I don’t believe so, why do you as-OH MY GOD!

Alex turned to see a man walk out of the mirror with extremely pale features. His hand was out towards Alex, and soon hands of all colors and sizes erupted out of the mirrors.

Mary: What is happening?!

Al: Is this a common occurrence here?

Bertha: The f@#k if I know! I just joined the team!

Volvagia: Everyone just shut up and run!

Everyone continued to run to wherever the exit of the cave was as the mirror people, as they were called by the team, continued to chase them. Soon, there was a light at the end the end of the tunnel and all seemed like it was good. Volvagia, Al, Bertha, Macho, and Rida went through the light of the cave while Alex screeched to a halt. He turned around and scanned the area for Mary, he heard a cry of pain ring through the cave. That was all it took as he ran over to the source of the cry with all his speed and might, he knocked down almost all of the mirror people as he got closer to the sound. He stopped as he saw Mary and a Wobbuffet in the middle of a fight, Alex looked down to see a very large black circle under both pokémon.

Alex: Mary come on!

He reached out his hand towards her and she tried to fly over to him, but a large shadowy hand came out of the black circle and caught Mary by her feet as she tried to escape. Alex quickly took out his pokédex to see what kind of pokémon this was as he never saw this one before.

Pokedex: Ah crap man, that’s a Wobbuffet. What I have in my database says that it is the Patient Pokémon, but everyone knows better. That thing is more like the Ultimate Shield Pokémon. It can take almost any blows and send it right back at you with double the damage depending on if it was through special or physical contact.

Alex: That’s useful and all, but why can’t Mary escape?

Pokedex: That’s one of its abilities smart one. She can’t switch out, nor can she escape until that thing goes down for the count.

Alex clenched his teeth as he jumped into the circle and put away his pokédex. He searched through his bags and pulled out a lot of battle supplements.

Alex: Listen Mary, for the time being, we have to stall. The benefit, this will make you stronger and drain the Wobbuffet’s moves. The bad part is that we don’t know what move that thing is going to pull.

Mary nodded as she took the supplements while the Wobbuffet wasted moves as time went on. After Mary finished she took flight again.

Alex: Alright Mary, attack with Aerial Ace!

Mary nodded as she flew around the Wobbuffet and delivered a powerful Aerial Ace across the Wobbuffet’s body. The Wobbuffet made no scream or cry as it just sat there and wobbled back and forth. Not even a second later, it delivered a massive punch to Mary that damaged her majorly.

Alex: MARY!

Mary huffed in pain as she struggled to get up, and she had to find the strength.

Mary: I have come far, and I’m not dying here!

With a push off the ground, she launched herself towards the Wobbuffet who put its arms up in a guard motion. Silence ran over through the cave as Mary hit the Wobbuffet in anticipation of whether it was enough. It kept its position for a few more seconds before it raised its arms above its head.

Wobbuffet: Wobba! Ba..ba-ba….ffet…

It collapsed on the ground as the large black circle underneath Alex’s and Mary’s feet disappeared. A smile slowly crept up on Alex’s face as he scooped up Mary and ran back to everyone else at the exit of the cave. As he walked outside the cave, he shielded his eyes from the harsh sunlight of the sun. He quickly looked around for everyone to see them with a few familiar faces. Volvagia was coiled up with Macho on top of her spike on her head. Al looked through the flowers with Berta and Rida as he made them something in the flowers. Out of all of them however, two stood out the most to him and they ran to Alex when they saw the condition Mary was in.

Tierno: Alex, what the heck happened in there?!

Trevor: Analyzing.

Alex: What are you guys doing here?

Tierno: Alex…This is Shalour City. You know, where the Sycamore wanted us to go for mega evolution?

Not even a single more word was said as Alex stood motionless as he stared at the very, very tall and large tower in the distance.

Alex: Dudes, I have a good idea where we can find out about it…
